DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Trip Program:
Day 01 ARRIVAL
You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by our representative. We will take you to the Blues & Chutney Country. This charming country home is situated in the foothills of Mt. Meru in a lush green surrounding. Our safari manager will come to meet you and to provide you with a safari briefing. A wonderful home-cooked dinner will be served on the spot – either in the dining room or the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens
NB –if you arrive into another airport than Kilimanjaro we’ll arrange a connection flight to Arusha either on arrival or the following day (at extra cost). From Nairobi also road transfers in private or shared vehicles possible
Day 02 Nkoaranga Village
Full day excursion to the small village of Nkoaranga. This is home to a local fair-trade coffee growers’ cooperative, made up of a group of small-farm coffee growers working together to build a sustainable, naturally grown, fair trade coffee business. Visit the coffee plantations and see the different steps of coffee growing. Learn about how coffee beans are collected, processed, roasted, ground and carefully packed. All proceeds from coffee sales return to the local farmers for reinvestment in the project, and to build their burgeoning organic farming project – with the first organic bean harvest scheduled within the next two years. Lunch is taken in the village before you return to Arusha. A walk through the village and at the local school or an orphanage is also included if desired.
Day 03 Arusha National Park
After leisurly breakfast you drive to Arusha National Park , once the site of the action packed Hollywood movie Hatari, starring John Wayne and Hardy Kruger. You pass by herds of zebra, buffalo, and giraffe on the savannah. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Momella Lake, famous for huge flocks of colorful flamingos and its views at majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. You continue in the afternoon with a game drive around the different habitats in this truly beautiful national park. There are black and white colobus monkeys (unique to this location northern Tanzania), Sykes’s and velvet monkeys, shy forest duikers, elusive leopards and substantial herds of antelope. This park offers as well a outstanding birdlife.
If you wish, you can hike at the slopes of Mt Meru in dense forest or at the Crater rim while an armed ranger escorts you to protect you from some of the larger animals (additional cost of 20 USD per person applicable).

Day 04 Tarangire
Your Tour starts with the drive to Tarangire, Tanzania’s fifth largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the TarangireRiver, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants.

Day 05 Tarangire
Another full day of game drives at Tarangire.

Day 06 Mto Wa Mbu
Early Morning game drive at Tarangire NP. After breakfast we depart for Mto wa Mbu, where you go on a scenic walk through Banana plantations and can try the local banana beer. After a lunch at the woman’s co-operative in the village you continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head to your lodge (if there is time, you can also visit the local market in Karatu), where you arrive in the late afternoon. Driving time without game viewing approx 2-3 hours.

Day 07 Ngorongoro Crater
Early start to drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations and one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in its natural habitat. Driving time without game viewing approx 1 hour
Overnight at Rhino Lodge. All meals included.
Day 08 To Serengeti
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park. After a warm lunch at your camp site, you start with your game drives at Serengeti.

Day 09 Serengeti
Early morning game drive to see also nocturnal predators returning from hunting and animals waking up in early morning light. Full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Wie auch im Ngorongoro Ihr Fahrer/Guide wird amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals.

Day 10 Serengeti
Full day game drive around Serengeti

Day 11 Serengeti – Zanzibar.
Transfer to the Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Transfer to Milele Villas. All meals included.
DAY 12-15 Beach Extension
Relax and enjoy the beaches of Zanzibar. Included in your package is a private car for excursions on the island, as well as kayaks’ and bicycles to explore the area around your villa. There are only 2 villas here, so you can enjoy the tranquility of the island. But if you feel, that you want some more excitement and activities such as snorkeling, one of the best beaches of the island (Kendwa) is just a short drive away,

Day 16 Departure
Departure transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your departure.
